What you will do
- Develop protective setpoints per industry standards, best practices, and client requirements.
- Work with system modeling software (ASPEN, CAPE, CYME, ETAP, SKM) for protection analysis.
- Create downloadable setpoint files on relay platforms like SEL AcSELerator Quickset and GE Enervista.
- Develop and manipulate logic for protection and control schemes.
- Prepare engineering deliverables, perform calculations, and manage data for projects.
- Coordinate with teams, mentor entry-level staff, and support business development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from accredited program.
- Minimum 1 year related work experience.
- Knowledge of departmental standards, engineering codes, and B&V policies.
- Ability to perform engineering calculations and resolve problems.
- All applicants must pass pre-employment checks including background, drug screen, and motor vehicle records.
Nice to have
- 1-4 years in Transmission industry.
- Experience with Protection & Control design (one-lines, schematics).
- Familiarity with relay settings, system modeling software, NERC standards, IEC 61850, and communication protocols.
- Knowledge of substation protection schemes and protective relays.
