What you will do

• Implement hybrid space-ground transport network components including routing, topology management, and fast-reroute for LEO constellations.
• Develop SDN frameworks for centralized/distributed control planes and real-time traffic engineering.
• Build capacity models, programmable transport solutions, and self-healing network logic using telemetry.
• Create observability stacks and packet forwarding optimized for space environments.
• Support cross-layer optimization with RF and silicon teams and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (export control).
• Bachelor's in CS/EE or related + 8+ years in network engineering, distributed systems, or telecom.
• Strong knowledge of BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, Segment Routing (SRv6/SR-MPLS).
• Experience with SDN controllers, programmable data planes (P4, OpenFlow), packet processing, ASIC/FPGA.
• Network solutions for wireless/cloud/service provider; analytical skills; communication; mission-critical dev.

Nice to have

• MS in CS/EE or related.
• Satellite/hybrid networks, telemetry, graph theory, open-source contributions, regulatory knowledge, modeling tools.
