Network Systems Engineer (Pre-Sales) (Networking): Provide pre-sales technical support for data center, campus, and AI networking solutions with an accent on architectural reviews, proof-of-concept validations, and solution design using leaf-spine architectures (VxLAN, EVPN). Focus on building customer relationships, conducting product presentations, and architecting network overlays to drive sales opportunities.

Must reside in the St. Louis metro area. Support onsite requirements at customer sites. Travel 15-30%.

What you will do

• Collaborate with Account Managers on business and technical reviews to identify network improvements.
• Conduct product presentations on Arista's Open Networking Data Center, Cognitive Campus (including WiFi), CloudVision, Security, and Fabric Monitoring solutions.
• Own pre-sales and post-sales technical relationships with customers and channel partners.
• Architect and propose Data Center & Campus solutions using leaf-spine (VxLAN, EVPN) and overlays.
• Perform hands-on testing for proof-of-concepts, designs, and deployments.
• Execute Quarterly Business Reviews, facilitate training, respond to RFPs, and provide feedback to product teams.
• Represent Arista at events, create technical marketing materials, white papers.

Requirements

• BS/CS/CE or technical degree required; MBA/MS a plus.
• Network certifications preferred (e.g., CCIE R&S, JNCIE, ACE).
• 5+ years L2/L3 networking design/implementation in Data Center, Campus, AI networking.
• Recent leaf-spine architecture experience.
• Expert in Ethernet, RSTP/MSTP, VLANs, IP Routing, TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, eBGP, VxLAN, EVPN, Multicast, Spanning Tree, QoS, CLI.
• Strong presentation, selling, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience as Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Network Consulting Engineer preferred.

• Network automation with Python and Ansible.
• Strong writing skills for white papers.
