What you will do

• Define the technical strategy and long-term vision for user representation, including embeddings, tags, and LLM-based profiles.
• Design and implement advanced user models for representation learning (sequence-based, multi-interest) across multiple hirify.global surfaces.
• Integrate GenAI and LLMs to enable dynamic user profiles, intent inference, and semantic reasoning over user behavior.
• Build large-scale system components for embedding storage, retrieval, and feature pipelines in collaboration with platform teams.
• Collaborate with product and infrastructure teams to drive adoption and measurable impact on key engagement and retention metrics.
• Mentor senior and staff engineers, lead design reviews, and establish engineering best practices.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience scaling production ML systems, specifically in user modeling or recommender systems.
• Proven track record of leading high-impact, ambiguous initiatives from concept to production.
• Deep knowledge of representation learning, behavioral modeling, and user clustering.
• Experience or strong intuition in applying LLMs and foundation models to evolve existing ML systems.
• Must be based in the United States.
• Ability to navigate trade-offs between model quality, latency, cost, and safety in large-scale systems.
