What you will do

• Design, develop, and enhance a MUMPS-based unit testing framework (M-Unit) for VistA application validation.
• Build automated infrastructure for deploying containerized VistA EHR environments using Docker.
• Develop a Visual Studio Code extension in TypeScript to support test execution and results visualization.
• Build a C#/.NET-based test runner for Linux environments supporting command-line and API-driven execution.
• Integrate testing capabilities into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
• Create technical documentation for build processes, testing standards, and developer guidance.

Requirements

• 5–10+ years of hands-on MUMPS development experience with deep familiarity with VistA architecture.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript for building IDE extensions and automation tools.
• Experience with C#/.NET for backend services and CLI tools.
• Solid understanding of Linux environments, shell scripting, and Docker containers.
• Experience implementing automated build, test, and deployment pipelines (CI/CD).
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience with InterSystems IRIS, ObjectScript, or IRIS for Health platforms.
• Prior experience supporting VistA or other federal healthcare systems.
• Experience building developer productivity tools or IDE extensions.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools for testing and automation.
