Video Producer (The Story of Money): Creating full-length episodes, sizzles, shorts, and highlight clips for FT’s flagship history podcast with an accent on efficient video production workflows and post-production support. Focus on editing video podcasts for YouTube and Spotify, providing captions, motion graphics, b-roll, charts, and advising on technical set-ups.

Location: London-based; expected to work onsite a minimum of three days per week

What you will do

• Edit full-length 16x9 YouTube cuts, short clips, and highlight clips for The Story of Money and other chat-based podcasts
• Establish efficient video production workflows and assist with rollout to Spotify and Apple
• Train audio producers on Adobe Premiere basics
• Provide post-production support including colour grading, noise reduction, export optimisation, captions, motion graphics, overlays, b-roll, and charts
• Advise on technical set-ups and studio recording

Requirements

• Adept at Adobe Premiere; experience cutting video podcasts with a show reel
• Knowledge of Descript software
• Fast video editor with experience for YouTube and understanding of the algorithm
• Experience training others in video editing basics
• Collaborative, flexible, with newsroom experience, keen eye for detail, and ability to handle tight deadlines
• Passionate about podcasts and video podcasts; organised with prioritisation skills
