What you will do

• Edit long-form YouTube episodes (40–75 minutes), transforming raw conversations into polished, platform-ready content.
• Craft compelling intros and hooks within the first 60 seconds to maximize viewer retention.
• Enhance storytelling using zooms, reframing, lower thirds, on-screen text, and light motion graphics.
• Extract high-impact moments from long-form content and adapt them into 30–90 second short-form clips.
• Produce vertical videos (9:16) for Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts with strong pacing and captions.
• Collaborate with content producers to align on editorial direction and iterate on storytelling approaches.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in video editing with a strong portfolio focused on YouTube long-form content.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and/or DaVinci Resolve.
• Deep understanding of YouTube storytelling, audience retention, and viewer psychology.
• Experience creating short-form vertical content for platforms like TikTok or Instagram Reels.
• Strong editorial judgment and the ability to work independently in a remote team environment.
• Ability to clearly communicate creative decisions, both written and verbal.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with After Effects or motion graphics.
