What you will do

• Collaborate with Team Leaders, BAs, and Project Managers to translate business requirements into testable acceptance criteria.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for functional scenarios (API, integration, E2E) using Python-based tooling.
• Establish automation strategies and processes specifically for backend web applications.
• Create and maintain Regression Test suites and comprehensive Test Plans.
• Manage defect tracking and validation, collaborating closely with development teams in a Scrum environment.
• Take full ownership of the automated testing lifecycle, from framework building to execution and gap analysis.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in backend automation testing using Python and Pytest.
• Proficiency with REST web services, API testing tools, and CI tools (preferably GitLab-CI).
• Experience working with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL or Google Big Query.
• Skill in using TestRail and Jira for test case management and bug tracking.
• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Must be based in or able to work from Bucharest, Romania in a hybrid model.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in the iGaming, online casino, or sports betting domains.
• Experience with load testing, preferably using Locust.
• Knowledge of sockets and advanced API interpretation.
• Strong understanding of Agile/SCRUM practices.
