Automation Engineer (SAP) (Test Automation/CI/CD): Designing and maintaining manual and automated UI, API, and SAP GUI tests for Core Banking software with an accent on quality engineering, test coverage, and reliable delivery pipelines. Focus on integrating automated tests into CI/CD, implementing quality gates, analyzing defects, and improving deployment feedback cycles.

What you will do
- Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated tests for UI, API, and SAP GUI applications.
- Develop reusable automation scripts and improve test coverage, stability, and reliability.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and contribute to quality gates, release automation, and deployment reliability.
- Define test strategies and acceptance criteria with developers, product owners, testers, and operations teams.
- Analyze test results, investigate root causes, report defects, and provide quality metrics.
- Support reliable test execution across environments, including basic containerized execution with Docker.
Requirements
- 3–6 years of experience in test automation, quality engineering, or software testing.
- Programming experience with Python, TypeScript, or JavaScript and hands-on experience with Playwright.
- Experience with SAP GUI testing, API testing, version control with Git, and CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies, ISTQB principles, test design techniques, agile development, and the test pyramid.
- Basic knowledge of DevOps concepts, delivery automation, and Docker-based containerization.
- Proficiency in English and German, both verbal and written.
Nice to have
- Experience in financial services, banking, or SAP environments.
- Experience with cloud-based development or delivery platforms.
- Experience with monitoring, reporting, or observability tools.
- ISTQB certification or similar credentials.
