IT Support Intern

TL;DR

IT Support Intern (Automation): Provide first-line IT support and streamline tech operations through automation with an accent on scripting routine tasks and optimizing infrastructure. Location: Hybrid in Amsterdam, NL; remote-friendly within the Netherlands or at Amsterdam office; work from abroad within Europe up to 12 weeks/year.

What you will do

• Provide hands-on first-line IT support for hardware, software, and network issues, focusing on automated long-term solutions.
• Identify repetitive tasks and explore automation opportunities using scripting tools.
• Develop and apply basic scripts (PowerShell, Python) to automate routine operations.
• Maintain and update IT infrastructure including workstations, software, and equipment.
• Create documentation for processes and scripts, and share knowledge with teams.
• Collaborate with HR and Security teams on troubleshooting and secure solutions.
• Suggest and implement proactive improvements to IT processes.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed MBO4 (or equivalent) in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• Interest in IT support and passion for automation.
• Basic understanding of hardware, software, and networking.
• Familiarity with Windows and other OS.
• Desire to learn scripting (PowerShell, Python).
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Proactive, self-motivated attitude; hands-on approach.

Nice to have

• Experience with scripting or automation tools.
• Knowledge of Google Workspace.
• Strong desire to learn new technologies.
