TL;DR

Design System Engineer (Automotive): Support serial life and continuous improvement for e-drive systems with an accent on issue analysis, system debugging, and multidisciplinary coordination. Focus on performing CAN/LIN trace analysis, driving 8D/Six Sigma workshops, and managing requirements traceability under Euro 7 regulations.

Location: Onsite in Limburg, occasional travel to suppliers and production plants in France and Italy

What you will do

  • Support serial life and continuous improvement for e-drive systems
  • Coordinate structured issue analysis for field returns, warranty, and production failures
  • Analyze CAN/LIN traces, motor/inverter behavior, and performance indicators
  • Coordinate system analysis with mechanical, e-machine, inverter, software, validation, and simulation experts
  • Support requirement updates for Euro 7 regulations and homologation
  • Drive 8D/Six Sigma problem-solving workshops
  • Monitor system requirements and traceability using Polarion

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in system engineering for mechatronic automotive systems
  • Experience with electric machine systems, power electronics, and controls
  • Experience in signal and data analysis (dynamic behavior, inverter parameters, calibration)
  • Experience with validation and system debugging in bench or vehicle environments
  • Experience with CAN analysis tools: Vector CANalyzer/CANoe, Canape
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering or similar
  • English fluent; French, Dutch, Italian are assets
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate multidisciplinary teams
