Platform Engineer (GCP)

TL;DR

Platform Engineer (GCP): Design and implement scalable, reliable cloud solutions using Google Cloud Platform services with an accent on infrastructure automation, security, compliance, and cost optimization. Focus on developing IaC with Terraform, managing Kubernetes deployments, monitoring with Stackdriver, and troubleshooting complex issues.

Location: Hybrid in Taguig, National Capital Region, Philippines (two to three days in the office)

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable cloud architectures using GCP services like Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, and Cloud Build.
• Automate infrastructure deployment and management with Terraform, Ansible, and IaC practices.
• Optimize costs, implement security controls, and ensure compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS.
• Monitor performance with Stackdriver/Prometheus, perform root cause analysis, and improve resilience.
• Manage customer tasks, suggest improvements, provide technical support, and mentor juniors.

Requirements

• Excellent understanding of GCP architecture and services (Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Build).
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Docker, and scripting in Python, Go, or Bash.
• Knowledge of networking, security, compliance in cloud/Linux environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Professional Google Cloud certification (current or desired).
