Technical Writer II

TL;DR

Technical Writer II (ProjectWise): Documenting cloud-based services infrastructure and tooling for ProjectWise software with an accent on end-to-end technical documentation including API docs, user manuals, implementation guides, and What's New publications. Focus on structured DITA authoring, interviewing SMEs, publishing via Azure DevOps pipelines, and maintaining content in Git repositories.

What you will do

• Write, maintain, and produce technical documentation for ProjectWise in print and online formats
• Interview subject matter experts to gather information for accurate documentation
• Use DITA authoring tools, Git repositories, and Azure DevOps pipelines for content management and publishing
• Adhere to style guides, provide updates to management, and participate in progress meetings
• Respond to documentation inquiries, create blog/wiki announcements, and mentor junior writers

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Electronics, Telecommunication, Applied Technology or relevant field; Certificate in Technical Writing preferred
• Fluent in English
• 4-7 years experience as Technical Writer in software development and civil engineering applications
• Experience with DITA XML, structured authoring, Oxygen XML Author, Microsoft Office, Agile cycles
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, Windows servers, SQL databases, networking
• Ability to work independently and in global teams, meet deadlines, high attention to detail

Nice to have

• Experience writing for infrastructure and engineering industries
• Experience with publication localization
• Experience with Snagit, Microsoft Visio, ServiceNow
