What you will do

• Lead and manage a remote team of engineers across the US and Mexico developing a complex video and robotics system.
• Design, develop, and maintain software for the Iris platform across Browser/Electron (TS/React), Desktop (Go/Rust), and Embedded (Go/Rust) environments.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentoring to maintain high standards of software quality.
• Coordinate with stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment and swift communication.
• Oversee daily operations, scheduling, and capacity management across releases.
• Evaluate and integrate emerging trends, including LLMs and AI agents, into the development process.

Requirements

• Several years of experience coaching, mentoring, and leading software engineers.
• Proficiency in JS/TS, Go, and Rust (or a strong willingness to learn Rust).
• Experience or strong interest in robotics, AI/ML, distributed computing, or complex IoT systems.
• Ability to pragmatically balance engineering refactors with business needs.
• Must be based in the United States.
• Experience or comfort working in a small, fast-paced startup environment.
