What you will do

• Lead architecture and design of complex, large-scale distributed systems.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices for real-time and batch data processing.
• Build high-performance REST APIs focused on scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Design data models and queries for efficient storage/retrieval in SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Lead data quality initiatives ensuring consistency, accuracy, and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Drive technical standards, best practices, code quality, testing, and observability.
• Mentor engineers via code reviews, design discussions, and support; own full development lifecycle.

Requirements

• 10+ years industry experience in backend and data engineering.
• Proven experience designing/operating distributed data systems with microservices, scalability, fault tolerance, performance, and observability.
• Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Track record of high-quality, maintainable code across services/teams.
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, adapt to changing requirements.
• Experience with AWS serverless (SST, CDK, Terraform), NoSQL (DynamoDB), stream processing (Kinesis), TypeScript/Node.js, public clouds (AWS/GCP).
• Ability to leverage AI-powered tools for productivity and optimization.
