What you will do
- Lead the design and development of secure, scalable backend services and RESTful APIs.
- Drive the technical direction of the team and influence system architecture decisions.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and enforcement of coding standards.
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and maintainability under heavy load.
- Collaborate with product managers and UX/UI designers to define technical requirements and estimate efforts.
- Implement and drive best practices for observability, monitoring, and synthetic testing.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience as a Java Developer, with at least 2+ years in a leadership position.
- Extensive experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, API Gateway, Lambda, and DynamoDB.
- Deep understanding of backend development and RESTful API design.
- Solid experience in software architecture and system design for scalable web applications.
- English: C1 level required (comfortable working in an English-speaking environment).
- Location: Must be based in Colombia.

- Knowledge of frontend technologies including JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, React, or Angular.
