What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain backend services for member-facing web products
• Collaborate with frontend engineers on APIs, data contracts, and integrations
• Write performant queries and manage data in PostgreSQL and Firestore
• Ensure services meet reliability, latency, and security requirements
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and incident response
• Contribute to on-call rotation for production systems

Requirements

• 4+ years building, owning, and maintaining backend services
• Go proficiency
• TypeScript proficiency
• Experience with PostgreSQL and NoSQL (Firestore preferred)
• Docker/Kubernetes
• Google Cloud Platform
• Authentication/authorization (OAuth, JWT, sessions)
• API security (rate limiting, validation, hardening)
