What you will do

• Lead the development and maintenance of Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) and Primary Concerns Documents (PCDs) within eQMS systems.
• Translate product concepts and consumer use patterns into comprehensive mechanical, physical, and chemical validation strategies.
• Drive risk management activities using FMEA and conduct complex root cause investigations using tools like 5 Whys and Fishbone.
• Ensure strict adherence to global toy safety regulations, including ASTM F963, CPSIA, and EN71.
• Partner with internal and third-party laboratories to define testing strategies and evaluate complex results.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead continuous improvement initiatives across product development and manufacturing processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Materials, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in quality engineering, product development, or manufacturing, preferably in the toy or consumer products industry.
• Deep working knowledge of global toy safety standards (ASTM F963, CPSIA, EN71, ISO).
• Proven experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS), FMEA, and statistical analysis (Minitab preferred).
• Must be based in El Segundo, California.
• Ability to travel periodically to global manufacturing sites and development partners.
