What you will do

• Define and own the LOMM operating model, scaling from single-shift pilot to multi-site continuous operations.
• Manage end-to-end supply chain continuity for lab consumables, reagents, and PPE across all sites.
• Implement and govern the CMMS strategy, ensuring asset data integrity and preventative maintenance compliance.
• Build the Maintenance Management function and L1 support team from the ground up to handle first-response troubleshooting.
• Drive AI-enabled innovation in inventory management, predictive reordering, and operational reporting.
• Author the LOMM chapter of the Blueprint global deployment framework to ensure reliable scaling of new facilities.

Requirements

• 12–15+ years of lab operations experience in a biotech or life sciences environment.
• Proven track record of defining and scaling lab operations systems and governance frameworks.
• Deep expertise in CMMS selection, implementation, and long-term governance.
• Experience building and leading multi-functional teams across different shifts or sites.
• Experience defending ISO 9001:2015 audits related to preventative maintenance and calibration programs.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Cambridge, MA, USA.

Nice to have

• Experience with IQ/OQ/PQ, calibration registries, and MTBF tracking.
• Background in materials science, life science, or chemistry lab environments.
• Experience applying AI or intelligent automation to lab operations workflows.
• Experience supporting 24/7 lab operations and familiarity with QMS-adjacent environments.
