TL;DR

Workday Benefits and Compensation Lead (Workday): Designing, configuring, and maintaining global benefits and compensation processes within Workday with an accent on open enrollment, profit sharing, and pay reviews. Focus on aligning system functionality with business requirements, ensuring compliance, and driving system enhancements.

Location: Fully Remote (US) or Hybrid in Buffalo, NY. This position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.

Salary: $110,000–$125,000 Annually

What you will do

  • Lead the configuration of Workday Benefits, Compensation, and Advanced Compensation modules to meet business needs.
  • Partner with HR Centers of Excellence (CoEs) and Payroll to implement system upgrades and new features.
  • Conduct rigorous testing of system changes and maintain detailed documentation to meet audit standards.
  • Evaluate Workday release updates, communicate fixes to stakeholders, and develop deployment plans.
  • Deliver training sessions and create job aids for managers and employees on Workday functionality.
  • Collaborate with reporting teams to analyze functional data and provide actionable insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of advanced proficiency in Workday benefits, core compensation, and advanced compensation configuration.
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes, compliance requirements, and employee support best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to handle U.S. export-controlled information.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills for a fast-paced global environment.

Nice to have

  • Workday Benefits and/or Compensation certification.
  • Proven experience supporting HR operations in a global organization.
  • Experience with case management platforms like Workday Help or ServiceNow.
  • Background in HR Shared Services or tiered support models.
  • Skills in change management and developing job aids.
