What you will do

• Drive technical strategy and roadmaps in partnership with Product and Design to solve complex customer problems.
• Manage and develop a distributed group of full-stack engineers, fostering ownership and growth.
• Oversee system architecture for complex features to ensure they are extensible, maintainable, and reliable.
• Lead the practical adoption of modern AI software development tools to accelerate iteration.
• Maintain high quality standards through technical leadership, code reviews, and testing best practices.
• Contribute to a modern full-stack codebase using Ruby on Rails, React, and TypeScript.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• Proven experience in software engineering (minimum 5-11+ years depending on degree).
• 5+ years of people management experience.
• Proficiency in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Go, Ruby, Rust, or Python.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of experience leading distributed software engineering teams.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Rails, Go, React, MySQL, and GraphQL.
