Location: London, Broadcasting House (shift work including weekends and night shifts)

Salary: £43,000 - £53,000 depending on skills and experience

Technology Operations team within hirify.global Technology & Product Group, supporting live and recorded broadcast output across News, Radio, TV, and international sites.

What you will do

• Deliver high-quality 24/7 support for broadcast equipment, studios, digital production systems, and infrastructure across London and international sites.
• Diagnose and resolve complex incidents in audio/video systems, ensuring availability, performance, and safety targets are met.
• Act as point of contact for production teams, coordinating resources with duty leaders and specialist/project engineers.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation for support arrangements, workflows, and new services.
• Mentor junior engineers through coaching, overviews, and knowledge base utilization.
• Develop solutions for problems using innovation with current and legacy technologies.

Requirements

• Proven engineering experience supporting broadcast systems in live TV, Radio, or multimedia environments
• Considerable experience diagnosing and fixing complex problems across broadcast systems
• Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of audio and video broadcast systems (analogue and digital)
• Awareness of Health and Safety, especially electrical safety, inspection, and testing in broadcast environments
• Ability to explain technical issues clearly to diverse audiences using appropriate tools

Nice to have

• Knowledge of networking, AoIP, Dante, MADI, and diagnostic tools like Wireshark
• Experience with robotic systems
• Familiarity with remote access tools (VPN, MSTSC, iLO, VMware)
• Working knowledge of DAW software for production
• Willingness to travel internationally if required
