Director of Software (Fullstack)

TL;DR

Director of Software (Fullstack Angular/Node.js): Lead full-stack engineering teams owning strategy, architecture, and delivery of web platform for AI vehicle inspection systems with an accent on microservices scaling, operational excellence, and team leadership. Focus on defining modern architectures, driving SDLC best practices, and ensuring security, performance, and reliability at scale.

Location: Tel-Aviv (onsite, full-time)

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and grow full-stack squads including TLs and ICs, driving career development and performance culture.
• Define Angular front-end and Node.js/TypeScript back-end architecture across microservices, APIs, gateways, and shared libraries.
• Own engineering roadmap, partnering with Product/Design to translate business goals into measurable plans.
• Establish coding standards, design reviews, SDLC practices including testing, CI/CD, and trunk-based development.
• Drive operational excellence on availability, latency, cost KPIs, observability, and incident response.
• Champion security, compliance, test strategies, performance, accessibility, and system design for caching, queues, and migrations.

Requirements

• 10+ years in software engineering with 5+ years leading managers/teams.
• Startup/scale-up experience leading web platforms.
• Deep recent experience with Angular (signals/standalone preferred) and Node.js/TypeScript microservices.
• Proven microservices in production: API design, resiliency, rate limiting.
• Strong cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure), containers (Docker), Kubernetes, CI/CD.
• Performant SPAs, web performance, data/integration (REST/GraphQL, Kafka, databases).
• Excellent leadership, hiring, coaching; executive communication with OKRs/ROI.
