What you will do

• Manage, coach, and develop the Network Operations and Network Automation teams.
• Set the strategic direction and long-term roadmap for network operations aligned with business priorities.
• Oversee daily operations for globally distributed environments and lead major incident response via the Critical Incident Management framework.
• Direct the design and implementation of secure, fault-tolerant global network solutions and enforce security standards.
• Drive the adoption of Network Automation, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), and API-driven operations to reduce toil.
• Manage vendor partnerships, operational budgets, and technology procurement roadmaps.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in core networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, STP, VLANs, and VPNs (IPsec/SSL).
• Hands-on experience with Checkpoint Firewalls, F5 Load Balancers, and Cisco routers/switches.
• Proficiency in AWS cloud networking (VPCs, hybrid connectivity) and Kubernetes networking (e.g., Calico).
• Mastery of Network Automation using Python, Ansible, and NetDevOps workflows.
• Proven success leading multidisciplinary technical teams in large-scale, high-availability environments.
• Must be based in or able to work from the London office

Nice to have

• Experience designing end-to-end network automation pipelines (linting, validation, compliance).
• Strong scripting capabilities for custom tooling development.
• ITIL/ITSM exposure for enterprise operations maturity.
• Experience with hybrid cloud migrations or modernization programs.
