Senior Test Automation Engineer

Senior Test Automation Engineer (Healthcare/Government): Develops and maintains quality assurance programs for software, hardware, and services supporting government healthcare directives with an accent on automation, API testing, and compliance to federal standards. Focus on producing detailed testing documents, automating iterative tests, and conducting Behavior-Driven Development and systems compliance testing.

Location: Fully remote within Eastern time zone (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM ET). All candidates must pass public trust clearance: U.S. citizens or lived in U.S. for at least 3 of past 5 years with valid passport and VISA/work permit. Occasional travel (<5% per year).

Salary: $117,300 - $126,500

What you will do

• Develop, implement, and maintain QA/configuration management programs for software, hardware, and services.
• Establish standards for lifecycle, documentation, testing, and maintenance; define quality metrics.
• Conduct reviews throughout system lifecycle and serve as liaison for issue resolution.
• Produce testing plans, cases, data, scripts; develop status reporting tools.
• Collaborate with developers and analysts; provide transparent communication and drive improvements using metrics.
• Perform Behavior-Driven Development Testing, API testing, systems compliance, and stay current with Medicare policy.

Requirements

• U.S. public trust clearance eligibility: U.S. citizen or 3/5 years U.S. residency with valid passport/VISA
• Bachelor’s in CS, IS, Engineering, or related (or 10+ years general + 8+ specialized experience)
• 8+ years Test Automation Engineer experience (software, performance, functional, behavioral, API, 508 testing)
• Experience with Agile, Atlassian Jira/Confluence
• Strong analytical skills; experience with large integration systems and projects
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
