TL;DR
Applied AI Application Engineer (LLMs and Agent Systems): Building and testing AI agent workflows, LLM-powered application components, tool integrations, and backend services with an accent on prompt strategies, retrieval flows, evaluation, and production system design. Focus on improving quality, latency, reliability, safety, and cost while analyzing failure cases and shipping working prototypes.
Location: Asia; work-from-home arrangement may vary depending on the business team's work

What you will do
- Design and develop AI agent workflows and LLM-powered application components.
- Build and test prompt strategies, retrieval flows, tool-use logic, and orchestration patterns.
- Contribute to backend integrations, APIs, internal tools, and lightweight user interfaces.
- Define evaluation metrics, run benchmarks, and analyze failure cases.
- Improve AI system quality, latency, reliability, safety, and cost.
- Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and improve production AI systems.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Expected graduation in 2026 or 2027.
- Solid programming skills in Python or Java; familiarity with backend engineering is preferred.
- Good problem-solving skills and comfort working with APIs, debugging, and data.
- Strong interest in LLMs, AI agents, automation, and real-world system design.
- Availability for a 6-month full-time commitment.
Nice to have
- Personal projects or coursework involving LLM applications, agent systems, automation, or AI-assisted development.
- Familiarity with OpenAI APIs, Anthropic APIs, Hugging Face, LangChain, vector databases, or workflow tools.
- Experience with Git, databases, backend services, or cloud platforms.
