Salary: $248,000 — $310,000 USD

What you will do

• Define and execute the long-term vision and architectural strategy for the Trust Platform.
• Develop system and performance tooling to enhance technical quality and operational excellence.
• Champion an AI-first engineering approach using LLM-powered agents to generate and iterate on code.
• Partner with product managers, data scientists, and ML teams to tackle evolving fraud threats.
• Lead and mentor engineers across teams to raise the technical bar within the ecosystem.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in backend and platform engineering for mission-critical distributed systems at scale.
• BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• Proven track record of guiding multi-year technical roadmaps and influencing without formal authority.
• Deep expertise in reliability, observability, SLOs, and resilience patterns.
• Proficiency in modern languages such as Kotlin, Java, or Scala.
• Must be based in the US (registered hirify.global entity states only).

Nice to have

• Experience in the Trust and Risk domain.
• Experience building developer experience (DX) and self-service tooling.
