Senior Product Designer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco or New York, United States

Base salary: $180,000–$210,000 annually, excluding bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Build production-quality prototypes and, when appropriate, production front-end code to validate UX direction quickly.
• Own and evolve the design system through reusable components, patterns, interaction primitives, tokens, documentation, and tooling.
• Translate design intent into polished React and TypeScript interfaces with strong attention to hierarchy, spacing, motion, and interaction quality.
• Improve system scalability, design-system adoption, accessibility, and consistency across product surfaces.
• Partner with product designers and engineers to reduce handoff friction and make prototype-to-implementation workflows more effective.
• Create UI foundations and interaction patterns for rapid experimentation in AI-driven experiences.

Requirements

• Strong front-end fundamentals and experience building interactive UI with React and TypeScript or equivalent technologies.
• Experience shipping and maintaining component libraries or design systems, including tokens, components, documentation, and adoption.
• Strong visual and interaction-design judgment, including hierarchy, spacing, typography, and polish.
• Ability to prototype quickly, work through ambiguity, and maintain high ownership.
• Ability to communicate across design and engineering disciplines and translate design intent into technical constraints.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement in San Francisco or New York.
