What you will do
- Design and execute test plans and cases for embedded firmware features and systems.
- Perform verification and validation (V&V) activities across functional, integration, and application levels.
- Conduct regression testing and manage the full defect lifecycle using Jira.
- Analyze system logs to troubleshoot application crashes and unexpected behavior.
- Validate communication protocols and networking functionality in embedded systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on requirements and product quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Professional experience in embedded software/firmware testing and QA.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and test case design.
- Proficiency with defect tracking and test management tools like Jira.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including switches, VLANs, and routers.
- Experience with communication protocols such as IEC 61850, Modbus, and DNP3.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with power systems and electrical substations.
- Experience in R&D or product development environments.
- Exposure to test automation, scripting, or real-time industrial communication systems.
