Advanced Quality Engineer (Fintech)

TL;DR

Advanced Quality Engineer (QA Automation): Designing, developing, and executing complex test strategies for investment management software with an accent on automated test frameworks and CI/CD integration. Location: Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Must spend at least four full days each week working in an hirify.global office.

Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop comprehensive test strategies, plans, and cases for complex features and systems.
• Design and maintain automated test frameworks using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Postman, and JMeter.
• Develop automated test scripts for UI, API, and backend services.
• Ensure CI/CD pipelines effectively integrate automated test suites.
• Perform root-cause analysis for defects and collaborate with engineering for long-term fixes.
• Mentor junior SQA analysts on testing best practices and automation techniques.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance or test engineering.
• Proficiency with automation frameworks and scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Java.
• Experience with API testing tools like Postman, SoapUI, or REST-Assured.
• Solid grasp of SQL, NoSQL, and data validation techniques.
• Must be based in Charlottetown, PEI, and adhere to the workplace model of 4+ days in-office per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• ISTQB (Foundation or Advanced Level) or CSQA certification.
