Technical Project Manager / Business Analyst (Contract)

TL;DR

Senior Technical Project Manager / Business Analyst (Payroll): Capture and document payroll workflows, define variance rules and requirements for detection and validation systems with an accent on translating business needs into build-ready specs. Location: USA, Remote. Working hours aligned to Pacific or AZ Time (approx. 9–5, 3 days per week). Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. No visa sponsorship.

What you will do

• Capture and document current-state payroll workflows, translating SME knowledge into clear requirements
• Define variance threshold rules and checklist logic with payroll stakeholders
• Develop functional and technical requirements for variance detection, checklist validation, and case management
• Track project progress, maintain status reporting, and communicate to executives
• Coordinate UAT efforts and support pilot close activities
• Create SOPs and runbooks for operational handoff

Requirements

• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• Strong business analysis experience: requirements gathering, process documentation, use case definition
• Project management experience: milestone tracking, risk logging, stakeholder communication
• Technical fluency to collaborate with engineers and AI architects, translate between business and technical

Nice to have

• Experience in payroll, HR, or PEO environments
• Experience on API-driven or automation-focused projects
