Secure Network Implementation Engineer (Cisco): Delivering secure, high-quality network configurations and bespoke connectivity solutions for business customers with an accent on routing, switching, and technical documentation. Focus on translating customer requirements into technical deployments and providing remote troubleshooting during implementation.
Location: Sheffield, Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham. Must be willing to undergo Government Security Clearance to SC level, which requires residence in the UK for a minimum of 5 years.

What you will do
- Lead complex network configurations and create bespoke solutions alongside standard templates.
- Translate customer requirements into accurate configurations, diagrams, and deployment documentation.
- Provide remote support during deployment, troubleshooting issues, and applying configuration changes.
- Take full ownership of orders within your area, ensuring progression in line with agreed processes.
- Coach and support colleagues by sharing knowledge and driving best practices.
- Collaborate with customers and internal teams to deliver high-quality, "Right First Time" solutions.
Requirements
- Vendor accreditation or equivalent experience, specifically Cisco CCNA.
- Hands-on experience creating configurations for routing and switching components.
- Proficiency with CLI for deploying and troubleshooting Cisco routers and switches.
- Strong knowledge of networking principles, including LAN, WAN, and Wireless solutions.
- Residence in the UK for a minimum of 5 years to meet SC level security clearance requirements.
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively and produce concise documentation.
Nice to have
- Knowledge or experience with SD-WAN solutions (Fortinet, Meraki, Cisco).
- Professional level certification such as CCNP or currently progressing towards it.
- Awareness of the IT Managed Services sector and its operational requirements.
