Head of People (HR/People Ops): Leading the full People function for a globally distributed immersive social platform with an accent on talent strategy, culture, and AI integration. Focus on scaling the People organization, optimizing compensation frameworks, and embedding AI to reduce manual workload.

What you will do

• Own the full People function, including People Operations, Talent & Recruiting, Performance, Compensation, and Culture.
• Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and senior leadership to align People strategy with business goals.
• Lead and develop a high-impact People team and act as the closer for senior and hard-to-fill roles.
• Evolve performance frameworks and compensation strategies, including leveling and equity philosophy.
• Identify and implement AI solutions to reduce manual workload and enhance the employee experience.
• Sustain and evolve an inclusive, remote-first culture across a globally distributed workforce.

Requirements

• 8–12 years in People/HR with experience owning a People function and managing budgets.
• Proven track record of scaling a People function at a company in the 100–500 employee range.
• Experience supporting and managing fully remote, globally distributed teams across multiple regions.
• AI-forward approach: actively using AI in People work and capable of implementing efficiency solutions.
• Ability to operate at the executive level, presenting data and insights to leadership and the board.

Nice to have

• Background in gaming, social platforms, or community-driven products.
• Experience fostering belonging across a diverse, global workforce.
• Personal interest in social VR or experience using hirify.global.
