TL;DR

Manager and Head of NA Customer Quality/Warranty (Automotive): Manage BU2 NA region warranty management systems, including evaluation of product field performance, customer warranty debits, product field/warranty cost improvement and customer warranty interface with an accent on field issue resolution and improvement. Focus on coordinating with plants and engineering on root cause analysis, negotiating warranty debits, reviewing customer agreements, and driving actions to minimize financial impact.

Location: Hybrid office schedule in Farmington Hills, MI, US. hirify.global is not hiring individuals requiring sponsorship for employment-based visas.

What you will do

  • Manage product field performance and warranty issues for BU2 NA region.
  • Review and approve/dispute customer warranty debits, negotiate technical factors.
  • Drive continuous improvement of warranty systems and product field performance.
  • Provide field failure prevention input to Product Engineering and Process Planning.
  • Coordinate with Plants, Process Engineering, and Product Engineering on root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Manage multiple high-profile, high-cost quality issues simultaneously.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Engineering required, master’s degree desirable.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience with Leadership or Supervision highly desired.
  • Experience in Product or Systems Engineering desired.
  • Problem Solving experience, Green Belt/Black Belt a plus.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills (written and verbal).
