What you will do

• Assign personnel and determine work requirements for quality departments.
• Conduct incoming and in-process inspections, quality audits, and gage calibrations.
• Manage the disposition of nonconforming materials and coordinate with suppliers or customers.
• Maintain accurate records of overtime, absences, payroll, and material rejections.
• Serve as the primary contact for quality issues and initiate containment actions.
• Travel occasionally to customer plants to address quality concerns.

Requirements

• Must be based in Napoleon, Ohio
• High school diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in quality assurance.
• Strong background in process compliance and adherence.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as disassembly/assembly of axle components.
• Proven mechanical aptitude and mathematical calculation skills.

Nice to have

• Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience in metal machining operations and assembly.
• Experience working within a collective bargaining union contract.
