What you will do

• Design high-power data center power systems including AC/DC, DC/DC converters, and alternative energy resources.
• Perform trade studies for electrical components like breakers, converters, batteries, and sensors.
• Manage supplier discussions and select final parts for the system.
• Integrate systems based on customer requirements, including IT server equipment.
• Produce electrical drawings such as one-line diagrams, wire harnesses, and installations.
• Create test plans, evaluate systems, conduct root cause analysis for failures.
• Design supporting circuits like isolation monitoring or controllers.
• Evaluate prototype hardware from circuit boards to power converters.
• Support software integration and apply knowledge to improve system protection and reliability.
• Collaborate with mechanical, system, test, and software teams on product development.

Requirements

• BS in Electrical Engineering with high voltage experience; power electronics specialization preferred; 3+ years experience preferred.
• Understanding of power electronics including AC/DC, DC/DC, DC/AC converters, motor control.
• 1+ year experience designing and evaluating high voltage power conversion systems (solar inverters, motor drives, EV chargers, data centers, energy storage).
• Experience building and testing components in the lab with oscilloscopes, probes, loads, hand tools, soldering.

Nice to have

• PCBA design using Altium Designer.
• Developing high voltage converters with UL compliance.
• Demonstrated engineering leadership in cross-functional teams.
