What you will do
- Own the end-to-end PCB layout process for power electronics, mixed-signal, and high-speed digital systems.
- Execute complex multi-layer, high-density layouts using Altium Designer, including HDI technologies like VIPPO and microvias.
- Perform constraint-driven routing for high-voltage and high-current power paths, incorporating isolation strategies and optimized polygon fills.
- Develop and maintain centralized schematic symbol and footprint libraries compliant with IPC-7351.
- Collaborate with electrical and mechanical teams to implement strategies for signal integrity, thermal management, and DFM/DFA/DFT.
- Generate complete manufacturing documentation, including Gerbers, ODB++, and detailed layer stack-up information.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in PCB layout and library development for complex, multi-layer product designs.
- Expert-level proficiency with Altium Designer, including CoDesigner, Altium Server, and 3D visualization tools.
- Strong understanding of high-speed design principles, signal integrity, and power integrity.
- Experience with high-power supply designs, including wide copper pours and thermal relief.
- Familiarity with IPC standards, specifically IPC-7351 and IPC-2221.
- Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Assembly (DFA), and Test (DFT) practices.
Nice to have
- Experience ensuring compliance with safety standards for high-voltage PCB designs (> 1500V).
- Proficiency in Python or SKILL for automating library management and layout tasks.
- Experience in magnetic PCB winding design.
- Familiarity with Git and PLM platforms such as ENOVIA, Arena, or CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE.
