Salary: $120,588 – $195,955

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable SQL Server database solutions ensuring high availability and data integrity.
• Integrate database migrations and schema changes into CI/CD pipelines with automated deployments.
• Optimize database performance using AWS-native and third-party tools to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
• Ensure strict compliance with federal security standards including FISMA, NIST SP 800-53, and ATO requirements.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Support ETL pipelines and data integration for analytics platforms like Power BI.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience administering and optimizing SQL Server in production environments.
• 3+ years of experience with AWS, specifically managing workloads on EC2 or RDS.
• Proven track record of integrating database changes into CI/CD pipelines.
• Deep understanding of query optimization, indexing strategies, and capacity planning.
• Knowledge of federal security frameworks (FISMA, NIST 800-53, FedRAMP).
• Must be based in one of the 16 listed US states.

Nice to have

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with ASP.NET/VB.NET application architectures.
• Prior experience with CMS or HHS federal projects.
