AWS Sr. Developer Node.js/TypeScript

What you will do

• Lead a team of 3–4 developers, daily standups, and service review meetings with clients.
• Own the operational stability of client AWS environments through monitoring, incident response, root cause analysis, and remediation.
• Manage change requests and enhancements using Jira, CloudFormation, and the Serverless Framework.
• Translate client business needs into roadmaps and actionable backlog items.
• Mentor junior developers on technical skills, documentation, runbooks, SLAs, and managed services practices.
• Develop internal best practices, tooling, and playbooks while identifying AWS improvements and handling technical decisions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of development experience with recent focus on Node.js, TypeScript, and AWS.
• Expertise in AWS services and cloud architecture, including Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFormation, RDS, Redshift, and VPC/network configurations.
• Experience in managed services or operational support, including SLAs, incident management, and change control.
• Thorough knowledge of agile and ITSM methodologies, with the ability to combine Scrum and service management practices.
• Ability to lead and mentor developers, make technical decisions, and maintain effective client and team relationships.

Nice to have

• Serverless Framework and Python experience.
• Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as CloudWatch.
• Experience with Amazon Connect or contact center technology.
• Experience designing AI/ML solutions with AWS services such as Lex, Bedrock, SageMaker, Comprehend, or Transcribe.
• Knowledge of LLM integration, prompt engineering, NLP, conversational AI, and chatbot or voice automation.
