Part-Time Finance & Accounting Analyst - Production Finance

What you will do

• Partner with the Accounting team to resolve discrepancies in NetSuite, including misclassified costs and missing accruals.
• Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, reclassifications, inventory adjustments, and period-end entries.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing overhead rate models and tracking systems to compare applied vs actual overhead.
• Formalize the company's cost structure by defining direct materials, direct labor, and manufacturing overhead.
• Perform cost variance analysis across purchase price, usage, and labor efficiency to trace discrepancies.
• Build and maintain production finance reports and dashboards covering labor, materials, and freight performance.

Requirements

• Current MBA/graduate student or recent graduate with strong coursework in cost or managerial accounting.
• Deep understanding of accounting principles, including accrual accounting and the flow of costs through COGS.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, ideally NetSuite.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets and Excel for data manipulation and financial modeling.
• Work authorized in the United States or eligible for J-1/F-1 visa sponsorship.

• Prior experience in accounting, finance, or ERP-adjacent roles through internships.
