Engineering Intern (Networking)

TL;DR

Engineering Intern (Networking): Supporting pre-sales opportunities and maintaining the technical demo center for a global network technology leader with an accent on networking infrastructure and system design. Focus on preparing technical materials, coordinating proof-of-concept installations, and troubleshooting TCP/IP connectivity.

Location: Must reside in or be able to commute to Irvine, CA (On-Site)

What you will do

• Provide pre-sales design and technical support across the product portfolio.
• Prepare technical sales materials and develop system design recommendations.
• Coordinate on-site visits, surveys, and proof-of-concept trial installations.
• Maintain technologies and infrastructure within the Axis Experience Center (AEC).
• Travel within the assigned region up to 25% of the time.

Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled in a secondary institution.
• Qualified to work under a 4, 8, or 12-month internship or co-op program.
• Knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, transport protocols, switches, and infrastructure).
• Strong technical writing, public speaking, and presentation skills.
• Ability to lift 20-40 lbs and work at heights (ladders, roof tops).
• Access to a vehicle for occasional site visits and meetings.
