Network Engineer (Experienced)

TL;DR

Network Engineer (Experienced): Designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure with an accent on Palo Alto, Cisco Meraki, and AWS networking solutions. Focus on ensuring high availability, performance optimization, advanced routing, and security best practices in hybrid environments.

Location: Mahwah, NJ (some travel to Hackensack, NJ required), Onsite, 40 hours per week (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

What you will do

• Design, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure using Palo Alto, Meraki, and AWS for high availability, performance, and security.
• Deploy and support new network devices, hardware upgrades, and architecture redesigns.
• Implement and manage wireless deployments, firewall policies, and secure network access controls.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network performance issues with root cause analysis and remediation.
• Provide recommendations for technology improvements and lifecycle refreshes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on business continuity and disaster recovery planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field
• Minimum 5 years in network engineering, system engineering, or IT infrastructure
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, LAN/WAN, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP
• Proficiency in Palo Alto Networks, Cisco Meraki, AWS Transit Gateway, AWS VPCs
• Experience with SecureW2/RADIUS, 802.1X, Meraki Auto-VPN, Palo Alto VPN, Cisco Umbrella
• Familiarity with ITIL standards, network security, monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Auvik)
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, time management, and collaboration skills

Nice to have

• Palo Alto PCNSE, ITIL Foundation+, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+
• Experience with secure network rebuilds, cloud networking security, Zero Trust principles
• DevSecOps, automation, agile practices in hybrid AWS/Azure environments
