TL;DR

Territory Sales Manager (Retail): Maximizing revenue and customer satisfaction in retail locations across an established territory with an accent on training, coaching, and driving sales in Millwork, In-Home, and Pro departments. Focus on building relationships, providing product knowledge sessions, implementing sales initiatives, and ensuring merchandising standards.

Location: Field sales role based in the Bay Area, CA with 25%-40% travel including daily local travel required. Territory covers SF Bay Area, Sacramento, Reno, and Fresno.

Salary: $73,000 USD - $100,000 USD

What you will do

  • Support sales growth across Fiberon, Therma-Tru, and Fypon product lines in assigned territory
  • Visit Home Depot and Lowe's locations regularly to build relationships and identify growth opportunities
  • Provide product knowledge and training to retail staff
  • Ensure displays, signage, and pricing are accurate and set up on schedule
  • Partner with Pro Sales teams and distributors to drive awareness and support programs
  • Collaborate with internal teams on sales programs, new launches, and customer feedback
  • Resolve customer service claims and recommend product assortment changes

Requirements

  • 1+ year of sales experience (ideally client facing)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build long-lasting relationships
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, create action plans, and follow through

Nice to have

  • Coursework or college degree in Business, Sales, or similar
  • Field sales experience
  • Understanding of sales process and cycle
  • Background in building materials or millwork industry
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce)
