System Administrator

TL;DR

System Administrator (DoD/Army IT): Provide day-to-day operational support for Army IT systems including server configuration, maintenance, user support, and compliance with an accent on cybersecurity hardening and Information Assurance standards. Focus on applying DISA STIGs, IAVA patches, Active Directory management, and RMF processes.

What you will do

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers and workstations.
• Monitor system performance, review logs, and perform root-cause analysis.
• Apply STIGs, IAVA patches, and ensure cybersecurity compliance.
• Manage user accounts, groups, and permissions via Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Maintain backups, disaster recovery, and support RMF/vulnerability remediation.
• Provide Tier I/II help desk support and collaborate on security incidents.

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years experience in classified IT services and networking
• Associate’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related preferred.
• Public Trust clearance required
• Experience with Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, and cybersecurity compliance.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Prior Army IT environment experience (NETCOM, PEO EIS, etc.).
• Familiarity with GCSS-Army, SIPR/NIPR, DoD RMF, and DISA STIGs.
