What you will do

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain machine tools like horizontal/vertical mills, lathes, and up to 5-axis CNC centers.
• Lead modernization projects by retrofitting legacy equipment and integrating sensors, PLCs, and HMIs.
• Perform electrical maintenance on control panels, VFDs, and facility power distribution.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams on continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, schematics, and upgrades while ensuring safety compliance.
• Create predictive and preventive maintenance programs and train junior technicians.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance focused on machine tools
• Valid driver’s license required
• Basic machining and fabrication skills including welding, lathe, and mill.
• Proficient in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Familiarity with shop modernization technologies and Microsoft 365 tools.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and at heights.

Nice to have

• Associate degree or certification in Industrial Maintenance or Mechatronics.
• Licensed Journeyman Electrician (Washington State or equivalent).
• Experience with Fanuc, Siemens, Mazak CNC controls, PLC programming, and CMMS software.
• OSHA 30 certification.
