What you will do

• Define and drive the product vision and strategy for data infrastructure, spanning MySQL, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Redis, and object storage.
• Determine strategies for evolving the data platform portfolio, balancing existing system optimization with cloud-native adoption.
• Lead the product definition for multi-region data architecture, including consistency models, replication, and failover design.
• Drive the strategy to scale the data layer by 10x to 100x to support AI-accelerated development and new features.
• Define data model interaction layers and best practices to enable internal product teams to build on data primitives efficiently.
• Establish and monitor metrics for infrastructure health, reliability outcomes, and migration progress.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in product management, software development, or a related field (or 6+ years with a Bachelor's degree).
• Must be based in the United States.
• 3+ years of experience defining strategy for data infrastructure, cloud platforms, or large-scale distributed systems.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with data technologies such as MySQL, Kafka, Elasticsearch, or Redis in production environments.
• Proven ability to drive cross-organizational alignment and influence senior and executive leadership.

Nice to have

• Master's Degree in a relevant field.
• Experience owning cloud migration or modernization strategies for data infrastructure.
• Expertise in AI-native data capabilities such as vector search and semantic retrieval.
• Experience defining platform contracts or paved paths for standardized caching and event streaming patterns.
