What you will do

• Lead, coach, and grow a team of engineers through 1:1s, career development, and recognition.
• Optimize engineering operations by identifying bottlenecks, improving documentation like PRDs, and creating lightweight processes.
• Monitor workloads to protect team from burnout and ensure sustainable high-quality delivery.
• Drive alignment across Engineering, Product, Design, Data, and Care for transparent context sharing.
• Champion team experiments with AI and new tools, plus Engineer-led initiatives.

Requirements

• 4–5+ years direct engineering management in rapid-growth Series B/C startup.
• Proven startup experience thriving in ambiguity and shifting priorities.
• Strong organizational and systems thinking for workflows, tracking, and stakeholder updates.
• Solid software engineering background for architectural guidance and credibility.
