Credit Control Team Lead

TL;DR

Credit Control Team Lead (Insurance): Establish, lead and manage the Credit Control function for UK and Ireland with an accent on standardized procedures, KPIs, SLAs, and off-shore team management. Focus on debt collection, stakeholder collaboration, process excellence, and technology integration to reduce bad debt and improve cash flow.

Location: London (onsite, UK and Ireland focus)

What you will do

• Establish and maintain efficient Credit Control processes aligned with offshoring, policy, and governance.
• Lead the off-shore Credit Control team, providing guidance to meet targets and produce stakeholder reports.
• Liaise with Underwriters on escalations, portfolio debt management, and collections.
• Communicate with Brokers, Cover holders, Finance, IT, and Operations for cost reduction and service improvements.
• Integrate business needs into technology roadmaps and resolve credit control issues and queries.
• Facilitate audits, training workshops, and ad hoc tasks as required.

Requirements

• Significant experience in insurance industry, preferably in leadership role
• Excellent market experience and contacts with Underwriters and Operations teams
• Strong organizational, communication, numerical, analytical skills
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint; experience with Xchanging IRIS, IMR, Lloyds systems desirable
• Good English (written and oral)
