Staff Security Engineer (Web3)

Location: Positions based in California; in-office collaboration is expected for 10+ days per month according to team and manager needs.

Salary: $212,000–$265,000 USD annual base salary for positions based in California, excluding equity, bonuses, and other additional compensation.

What you will do

• Design, implement, document, and manage processes for cataloguing and securing digital asset handling and storage.
• Lead security risk assessments of digital asset safeguards and implement improvements with Information Security, Finance, Product, and Engineering partners.
• Develop methods to measure, monitor, and communicate the organization’s digital asset security posture.
• Educate individuals and teams on protecting hirify.global and personal digital assets.
• Advise on digital asset security methodologies, tooling decisions, and vendor integrations.

Requirements

• 8+ years of industry experience in information security and digital asset security.
• Knowledge of crypto, blockchain, Web3, and smart contracts.
• Strong expertise in cryptography, key management solutions, and secure cryptographic key lifecycle practices.
• Hands-on experience with software, hardware, MPC, and/or multisignature wallets, as well as secure offline laptop solutions.
• Ability to handle sensitive work discreetly and advise business stakeholders on digital asset security.
• Clear communication and documentation skills, including translating complex security and compliance topics into functional requirements.
