Sr. Security Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Boston, Massachusetts, with office attendance three days per week. U.S. work authorization is required; hirify.global participates in E-Verify.

Annual base salary: $121,000–$226,000, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.

What you will do

• Secure LLM integrations, agent frameworks, MCP connectors, and AI data pipelines across the internal environment.
• Lead threat modeling for new AI capabilities and implement mitigations during the design phase.
• Build controls for agent isolation, least-privilege execution, credential scoping, and data boundaries.
• Run AI risk assessments, red-team testing, tool reviews, vendor assessments, and remediation activities.
• Operate the agent and MCP connector lifecycle from proposal and approval through monitoring and retirement.
• Maintain incident response runbooks, security metrics, compliance evidence, and employee guidance for safe AI use.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in security engineering, application security, or infrastructure security, with hands-on AI/ML exposure.
• Experience securing or building LLM-based systems, agentic frameworks, or ML pipelines in cloud environments.
• Understanding of prompt injection, tool-use exploitation, privilege escalation, data poisoning, and model or training-data leakage.
• Strong Python skills and experience building security tooling, automation, and testing.
• Strong AWS security knowledge, including IAM, networking, container isolation, encryption, and monitoring.
• Familiarity with SOC 2, ISO 27001, ISO 42001, and NIST AI RMF, plus the ability to communicate risk clearly.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI red-teaming, adversarial testing, MCPs, or agent orchestration frameworks.
• Background in DLP, monitoring, or observability for AI or cloud workloads.
• Experience at a growth-stage B2B SaaS company.
